As mentioned in the syllabus this is the perfect part to put down a case history. Who are you? Where were you born? How were you raised? Morals/Values? Did your upbringing define who you are. Where have you attended school? Did this shape who you are, how? Where do you work? Has this shaped who you are, how? Who or what influenced you? Who have you become because of your influences?

As noted above you must explain who you are, but there must be a context. When I read these I want know who you are before I meet you!

You need to provide an analysis of who you are and what kind of leader you are or will become. Knowing this allows you to make changes in your behavior and or direction so you can achieve you goal. To do this we need more than your Mom saying “He is a born leader!” Your Mom might be right, which is fine subjective data, but why is she saying this, be SPECIFIC!

In each chapter of your text you have a questionnaire at the end of the chapter, for example on page 13 you have Conceptualizing Leadership Questionnaire. It gives you the purpose the directions and at the end how to score it. This along with other objective assessments such as personality assessments (Briggs Meyers) and work evaluations for jobs or volunteer work you have done.

Use this to describe and analyze who you are as a leader. Remember, I ask for a MINNIMUM of 4 but you may need more!
