5. Sensation & perception
6. Classical conditioning (MUST include US, UR, CS, CR)
7. Primary & secondary reinforcers
8. Episodic & semantic memory
9. Short-term & long-term memory

For each concept, provide an example from your life (so, you will have 4 concepts and 4 examples; one example per concept). If the concept includes two terms, you must address both terms.
Number your examples 1 through 4.
FORMAT: Entire assignment must be typed in 12 point Times New Roman font, double-spaced, one inch margins. Name in upper left-hand corner, examples are numbered 1-4 with subtitles Source, Definition, and Application.

Components that must be included for each term/concept:

Source: Where you found the term/concept in your textbook or lecture slides. List the page number in the textbook or the Lecture #.
Definition: Provide the definition. Provide the definition in your own words. DO NOT SIMPLY COPY THE DEFINITION.
Application: Explain how the term/concept makes sense of something that happened in the past OR how the term/concept could help guide you in a real life situation in the future. Make sure the application is as specific and concise as possible. For example, if you describe an instance of classical conditioning in your life, you would need to identify the US, CS, UR, CR. Make sure you include enough information so that I can see that you clearly understand how the concept applies.

Source Concept #1
Source indicates where the concept was found

This criterion is linked to a Learning OutcomeDefinition Concept #1
Definition is in writer’s own words and provides adequate description to both understand the concept and disambiguate (distinguish) the concept from other similar concepts. If two terms are included (e.g. hippocampus & consolidation), definitions are provided for both terms. Writer uses complete sentences that are clear to the reader.

This criterion is linked to a Learning OutcomeApplication Concept #1
Application is precise and conscise. Concepts are applied to the writer’s own life directly (or, the writer describes how this could be a hypothetical real-life scenario in the future). Application includes enough information that someone could read the application and know which concept is being described AND the writer explicitly states how the application exemplifies the concept. It also includes ALL components of the concept (e.g. the concept classical conditioning includes a description of what the US, CS, UR, CR are in the particular situation; hippocampus & consolidation includes how the situation exemplifies hippocampus and how it exemplifies consolidation). Writer uses complete sentences that are clear to the reader.
