My first philosophy statement I have a fire inside of me that makes my mission to help others around me and advocate for those that
forget how to help themselves. I had a hard beginning but it did not turn me cold, it made me
empathetic. God put my on a path to be able to relate to others and to really feel the pain with them. I
will sit with these people in the darkness, until they can come back into the light. As a counselor, my
objective is to be unbiased and effective at helping people overcome the obstacles of life.
I know without a doubt that Hod has put me here to help others heal. My life has been full of purpose
and lessons that have prepared me for the chance to help someone else. I know how dark life gets and I
am proof that you can come out of the other side. I am going to spend my life helping others not have to
feel alone. I will advocate for my profession. I know first hand a good counselor can change your life.
Sometimes all a person needs is one person to believe in them when no one else in the world does. I can
not wait to be that person for every client I am blessed enough to get to serve.
I am marveled by the greatness and mercy that God has shown me even when I was so undeserving. I
want to introduce people to the person that saved me and made me whole. I want to share my
testimony and pray it reaches at least one person. I want to bring someone to know the goodness of my
God. I want to show someone that unconditional love that God shows even a sinner like myself. I want
to help another human have everlasting life in the beautiful kingdom of God.
I was raised in Oaklawn Baptist Church in Memphis Tennessee. I have known God as far back as I can
remember. When I was 14 I was saved and God has stuck with me every since. I want to show people
around me the selfless undying love that God has shown me. I hope everyone gets to find their purpose.

Using the journal entries as a guide, you will complete a philosophy paper. The paper will begin with the initial philosophy statement made at the beginning of the course, including the general views, values and principles upholding the initial philosophy. Then, you will state the new philosophy and comment on any changes and/or similarities. The remainder of the paper should include elements from the topics covered throughout the text and show the development of your philosophy throughout the course. You are not required to address each topic, but should include those that are relevant to your personal and professional development. You must include a minimum of 5 passages of Scripture and show how the Scripture supports the new philosophy statement. The final paper will be 5-7 pages and should be in APA format.

There needs to be five references with the book I provided and the NIV Bible as references.
