Students will be tasked with comparing and evaluating several possible solutions to a common problem in digital communication studies: the proliferation of trolls, harassers, and bots in online comment sections. They will then write a Decision-Making Report in which they will describe the problem, identify the stakeholders that they would like to address, and define the criteria that they will use to compare and contrast at least three possible courses of action. At the conclusion of this report, they will offer a recommendation and provide a bibliography of resources that they used in the course of their research.
There is no page count or word count requirement for this assignment. Rather, you just want to make sure that each section accomplishes the task that it needs to as laid out in the video. Since this is meant to mimic the kind of report writing that your boss might ask for someday within the workplace, the goal is for each section to be COMPLETE in terms of conveying all the necessary information but also SUCCINCT in that any extraneous or unnecessary filler is removed.
Any citation style is fine so long as you use the same one consistently throughout the report so just choose whichever one you are most comfortable with.
I put 5 pages and 3 sources in the instructions because by looking at this assignment I feel that that will be the minimum. If you happen to exceed 5 pages I will obviously pay the extra.
