Focus on the terms and concepts presented in Section 2: Media and Process, as well as what you’ve learned from Section 1. In your analysis of the exhibit, discuss what the artist has created – is it a drawing, painting, photo, etc. How did they create the work? What skills does the artist have? What processes did they use? Don’t forget to still correctly use the terms and concepts from Section 1 as well – Line, Shape, Space, Color, etc.

Follow the link above to the Phillips Collection website for this current exhibition. Some of the works of art from the exhibition will appear. Under each one it will have a plus sign and say ENLARGE. Click on Enlarge so you can view the artwork for as long as you want. Put what information you can for the bibliography, I understand if the information may be spotty.

Make sure you look under each section on the web page. About halfway down the page you will see 3 tabs: About the Exhibition, Watch & Listen, and Artists in the Exhibition. Explore all three and view or watch everything they offer so you can accumulate as much information as possible to write your review.

On a personal note, The Phillips Collection in Washington DC is one of my favorite museums in the world. I use to work there many years ago. It was once the home of the Phillips family, and to all of us who worked there it felt like home. I am very please to be sharing it with you, and if you ever in DC, please add the Phillips Collection to your itinerary.
