Your task for this discussion post:
1. Submit a complete essay draft by replying to this discussion assignment before the deadline: Wednesday (11/11 before midnight). Only members of your group (and instructors) will be able to see your draft.
Your essay draft should have a clear (arguable/debatable) thesis statement at the end of the introduction.
It should be getting close to the 1100-1300 word requirement that your final will need to be (not counting the works cited page).
It should integrate summary, paraphrase, and/or quotes from 4-6 sources (The Brain book, your selected NYT article, and at least two others).
It should have sources cited in the essay and in a Works Cited page.

2. Then, after you submit your own draft, you will read the other essays submitted and provide helpful feedback for a minimum of three classmates. When you’re ready, you will click “reply” directly under the student submission that you are replying to.
Think about what the student-writer did well AND what could be changed for a better grade.
Consider answering 4-5 of the peer review questions above for each of the three essays you review.
Your responses to your classmates’ drafts can be written in paragraph form, submitted as a bullet-point list of ideas, or recorded as an audio/video message.
Please complete your reviews by Friday (11/13) before midnight so students have time to use your ideas to make changes to their essay drafts before submitting their final essays.
When selecting student drafts to review, please reply to students who do not yet have replies so that all are included in the conversation.
Tips: Try to stay positive and word things in a way that creates guidance and goal setting, instead of harsh criticism. Recognize that drafts are allowed to have errors, and at this stage of the writing process, everyone’s draft will certainly require ideas for improvement and change. That’s not a bad thing–it’s simply part of the process of creating something wonderful!
