The Armenian Genocide is known for being one of the three “classic” genocides of the 20th century and sometimes considered the first truly “modern” genocide. This Genocide took the lives of 1.5 million innocent lives which took place in Turkey between the years of 1914 and 1923. In my paper I will be discussing three major factors including the decline of the Ottoman Empire, the vulnerable position in which the Armenians were in and the outbreak of the first world war. We will also be discussing the course that the Armenian genocide takes and as well as the effects of it. I will also emphasize the memory of the survivors and how turkey has still refused culpability for the crime

I need the paper to be written on the Armenian genocide, using the following sources.

Meierhenrich, Jens. Genocide: a Reader. Oxford Univ. Press, 2014.

Freedman, Jeri. The Armenian Genocide. Rosen Pub. Group, 2009.
