This assignment will continue your understanding of communication research and help you see how research informs communication theory. You will be required to complete five research credits worth 10 points each.
There are two options that you may choose to complete this assignment. The first option will allow you to participate in the School of Communication’s research studies through the SONA research site. This is the best way to complete this assignment.
The second option will allow you to complete additional abstracts (the approved articles are in a link at the bottom of this message).
You may mix the number of credits. In other words, you may choose to do four research studies (40 points) on SONA and turn in one research abstract (10 points) for credits or any combination. If at the end of the semester, there have not been enough research studies available or you did not complete enough, you will need to do research abstracts to earn full points.
An abstract is at least one paragraph about the article that you write on your own. Do not simply copy the article’s abstract. You can use the E-Learning dropbox to turn them in for credit at the end of the semester in one Word file.
