Our Goal
To Generate social awareness and familiarity to local New Jersey food collection groups. Through a social media campaign designed by a team of passionate students from Kean University, we are seeking to utilize a variety of channels to promote “Feeding Hands,” a local food collection organization serving NJ families facing food scarcity. Feeding hands exist to provide food for those facing hard situations where money and meal resources are scarce. Families within New Jersey that cannot afford a meal every night are unfortunately more common than we realize. Therefore, we are striving to make people more aware about this problem and encourage the public to help us work hard to put a stop to it! We are looking forward to engaging with our local community and utilizing our marketing campaign to bring awareness to the work of “Helping Hands” and encourage our community to work together to end hunger!
Organization Goals
Helping Hands is a local food collection service based out of Somerville, NJ. Started in 2014, they have been providing meals that help over 220 families and individuals eat every month. The group’s core values are based around helping the poor and those in need, and they work towards this mission through running food drives, collecting monetary donations and providing a safe place for families in need, to pick up food at no cost.
