For this part of your Course Project, you will develop an assessment tool, which measures and evaluates language acquisition for the children in your case study scenario. Once created use this tool to assess one child (either in person or by video- see below) matching the age group(3-5year olds) /program in your case study scenario. You will create three (3) developmental goals for the child you observe and assess
Step 1: To create a Language Assessment Tool:
Using the lesson content, determine which five (5) criteria you will be assessing.
Create a 1-2 page document, which allows for observation notes on each of the five (5) criteria and a space to write out at least three developmental goals based upon the observation notes. Be sure to include the five (5) criteria on the document and any important aspects of each to consider when observing.
Provide a space for the child’s age, basic descriptive information, type of facility, date and if the observation is live or by video. If a video, indicate which video from the list below.

Step 2: After your Language Assessment Tool is complete, observe a child for no more than 10 minutes. You can observe the child in person or through one of the videos linked below. Be sure that the child you observe matches the age group of your case study scenario. Use the Tool to take notes and observe the child using the criteria. Remember to be objective and detailed with what you see and hear. Use a pseudonym instead of the child’s real name
Step 3: Use your observations on the Tool to create three (3) developmental and measurable goals for the child you observed. Write each goal and the corresponding criteria on the space you created on the Tool.
Step 4: Submit the completed Language Assessment Tool. If you hand wrote the observations notes and goals, you may scan and upload the document as is. You may also retype your observation notes and goals directly on the form. Be sure to include the child’s age, basic descriptive information, type of facility, date and if the observation is live or by video. If a video, indicate which video from the list below.
