•Essay 2 Literary Rhetorical Analysis Assignment Instructions
Research and select one poem OR one creative nonfiction essay OR one fictional short story that has been published between 2016-2020 (there are specific links you are required to use to help you select a contemporary literature source). Write an essay that makes an argument about how the writer of your literature source uses a specific writing tool or tools (imagery, sound, line length, character point of view, modular or linear story structure, etc.) in order to rhetorically appeal to his/her audience. Your essay must also clearly use one argument structure (classical, Rogerian, or Toulmin).
Essay 2 Final Draft Requirements
Source requirements (a minimum of 3 sources/a maximum of 4 sources)

You do not need to include a block quote in your essay, but if you do, you may only use 1 block quote within the whole essay and its length should not exceed a 1/3 of the page it is written on (meaning a 1/2 page block quote is excessive).
Demonstrate MLA format: 12 pt. Times New Roman font, correct double spacing, correct MLA heading, and MLA formatted works cited citations and in-text citations
