This assignment will consist of six sections: introduction, background information, methods, themes, summary and conclusion, and appendix.

Introduction: Write a brief overview of the issue or question selected and introduce what the reader can expect to read about in the literature review that follows.

Background information: This section describes the background to the question or problem that is being answered by this review. Relevant information here might include definitions of specific terms, contextual information such as statistics on the size of the problem and who is affected by the problem, a description of the condition or health risk factor, a description of the health policy response, and any other general information to help the reader understand the significance of the literature being reviewed.

Methods: This section describes two methods – how the literature was selected and how the findings from that literature were analysed. Information here will include the search terms used, where you searched (e.g. findit@flinders or Google Scholar in findit@flinders), and what limits were applied (e.g. year range). It will also briefly explain how the evidence was analysed.

Findings: This section is critical and will be the largest section of the assignment. After collating all of the evidence gathered in the summary table, analyse the findings into themes that attempt to answer the question posed. This section is where you describe what you found in order to answer the question.

Summary and conclusion: Summarise the themes you identified and draw a conclusion that answers the question. This conclusion might indicate that the evidence sourced is inconclusive for answering the question or strongly supports the outcome.

Appendix: Summary table
