This is your last Media Analysis. Remember that you are expected to analyze the media artifact of your choosing using as a guideline the following questions:
Why did I choose this specific media artifact?
How does it relate to at least two readings of the module?
What are the processes of production, distribution, and use of this media artifact?
Which ideologies, socio-cultural norms, values, or identities are reproduced through this media artifact?
Does this media artifact circulate at a regional, national or global scale?
How does this media artifact shape our understandings of media and communication themselves?
How does this media artifact relate to the global?
The result of your analysis is an essay 3 to 5 pages, 12 font, double space and it answers the questions posed above engaging with at least two readings from the course (it can of course engage with more readings too, as long as you understand them and apply them correctly).
You will be graded in your appropriate selection of the media artifact (you cannot repeat the same selection during the semester) and your understanding and application of the reading materials. I am looking for something that is clear, concise, coherent, fun and easy to read.
Note that you will get better at the media analysis since you will be doing it three times during the course of the semester and you will be graded accordingly.
