Choose a feeling/emotion you wish to portray.

Use two different chords per measure (may have only one chord in the final measure) to harmonize the melody (method is explained in lecture notes in Announcements). Inversions count as a different chord.
Use functional harmony only, no modal harmony, i.e. progressions must proceed Tonic-Subdominant-Dominant-Tonic. We will discuss this in class, including the chords that are in each family.
Include a half cadence in measure 4(i.e. come to rest on V-chord) and end with a Perfect Authentic Cadence (V-I) as explained in the text.
Include at least one passing tone and one neighbor tone.
Include at least two triads in inversion.
NO 7th chords other than V7 and viio7.
Avoid using 6/4 chords except the cadential I6/4, V, I. Use diminished chords in 6/3 position only.
Provide Roman numeral and figured-bass analysis.
Save your work as .mscz format using Musescore program.
