Week 4 Log
This week will be all about similarities. First, choose 6 selections from the week’s listening assignments. You must write this log all about similarities this week. If you want to pair the songs up or write all of them together as a group, that’s fine. You are choosing music from the Romantic period, some of the most loved works, ever. This will also help you zone in on the characteristics of the genre.
SCHUMANN: Carnaval Chiarina

You will then also choose one additional contrast pair of songs. One must be from this week’s listening and one from one of your prior logs that you’ve written about. Many students find it much easier to choose something from the Baroque/Renaissance as the styles are very different. This pair should totally be about style differences of the period. Choose songs that are good representations of the period and that clearly present characteristics of the period they are from.
