The purpose of this assignment is for students to understand both sides of the slavery issue, which was highly charged in the antebellum era (1800-1860).
Students need to argue either for or against slavery using the opinions which were prevalent during the ante-bellum era 1800-1860.
Students with last name A -L must argue in favor of Slavery. Those with last name M – Z must argue against, take the view of an abolitionist.
