1. Given our course readings, discussions and films, what specific factors do YOU think explain why some protest movements are more successful at accomplishing their goals than other movements? Please present your argument in the form of a narrowly and precisely worded thesis statement. In your essay, be sure to make reference to in the chapters by Theoharis, the article by Gamson OR the article by Kaufman, and at least two other course readings.
