You will create a tri-fold brochure that informs a targeted population about a specific
topic of your choice, one that is important during a specific developmental stage.
The brochure will be created to be displayed in public settings, such as a physician’s
office, a researcher’s office, a health clinic, community center, or library.
Be creative and innovative in thinking about what the targeted population is interested in
reading related to one of the developmental stages, and combine it with psychology.
You may format it how you like, but it should look professional and be visually
engaging; be sure to add color, font styles, and images.
BROCHURE INSTRUCTIONS
1. Select a specific topic for one developmental stage to create an informative and
visually attractive tri- fold brochure. Select a topic of special interest to you, and research
it.
2. Review information specific to the stage you selected and consider how best to present
the information. Keep track of the sources of information that you use for referencing.
3. Think about the research on the developmental stage and what specific information
should be shared in the brochure. What age range are you targeting? Topics from
Conception up to Death, Dying or Grieving may be discussed, including prenatal care.
4. What facts are imperative that the reader know about for your specific topic and
developmental stage?
5. Format: Use a tri-fold/three columns – double-sided. Single-space, Font – 12; 1”
margins or 0.5 margins.
6. In addition to your Brochure, prepare a Bibliography in Word with each of the sources
that you used to create your brochure (e.g. websites, research articles, etc.) listed
