In the following research project assignment, you are to demonstrate to me that you know how to take a research topic from step one of the scientific method through step eight. That is to say, you do not have to do an empirical study where you have a problem and actually go out and collect data from a subset of a population. You will not do this. Rather, I will give you a research problem (stated below) and you are to tell me how you would conduct this study. If you do not wish to use the topic/problem I give below, you may choose your own, however, if you choose your own, you should not choose a problem that we have discussed in class.
In reference to the topic/ problem below (or the problem you might choose), you are to answer the questions below in terms of how you would conduct such a study: You are not being asked to actually conduct a study, but rather, to tell me how you would do so.
