Your final project includes doing a full analysis from descriptive statistics (mean and standard deviation, proportions), bivariate analysis, to a multivariate model (OLS or logistic regression). You will turn in both the output and include a thorough descriptive write-up of your analysis (i.e., interpretation of your findings), including a test of hypotheses. Propose 3 hypotheses for this assignment. Please limit your variables to 1 dependent, 4 independent/control variables.
Students will be required to seek out extant literature and provide a short write up that states the justification for their use of the independent, dependent for inclusion of the control variables in their model, and for the analysis utilized. Students will be required to seek out extant literature and provide a short write up that states the justification for their use of the outcome measure, for inclusion of the control variables in their model, and for the analysis utilized. Students are advised to read the Methods portions of journal articles to obtain an example by which to follow. In addition, an example is provided in this module.
Please upload your final paper in a Word document. Using the checklist below, be sure that you included:
1. A write up that justifies the reasons for the variables in your analysis.
2. Your output, including your Stata code.
3. Make sure that you included preliminary analyses (e.g., chi-square, correlations) to justify your reasons for conducting OLS or logistic regression. Ask yourself, are any of the bivariate relationships significant? If not, then there is no reason to have done a regression analysis.
4. Include a thorough analysis of the results you obtained.
