Prompt:
I am asking you to write a reflection of your experience under quarantine so far. We all know that the Corona virus has has devastating effects on almost every aspect of life around the globe. That being said, I would like you to try and think about some of the possible positive outcomes and/or effects that this situation has had. These positive outcomes could be on a micro level or macro level (try to include both). They could also be both personal and societal. So try and represent different scales. The outcomes or effects could also be emotional, philosophical, or psychological.
Format:
This must also be in essay form. It must have introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion. For your thesis statement have a sentence in your introduction that forecasts some of the positive things that this quarantine has done for you. Make sure to have good topic sentences that forecast what that paragraph will address.
This is not an argumentative essay, but you should include logos (examples, anecdotes, metaphor, analogy) and pathos. You may also use whichever narrative perspective you wish to employ (First, Second, Third).
Sources: You must have a minimum of four outside sources. These sources must be credible and have strong ethos. You must provide a signal phrase and an APA in-text citation for each quote or paraphrase.
These sources could provide statistical background on the pandemic, facts about Co Vid 19 origins, economic statistics, health related facts concerning the virus, psychological studies on isolation, or any other information that you feel will help your essay.
