Instructions from my professor: The response paper must focus on a single theme in any one of the stories we have read thus far. It should not be a summary of the story’s plot. Instead, you should have a clear thesis statement in which you offer a reaction, argument, or theory about the story. You should include specific quotations from the story to support this overarching claim. You must write the response in your own words; any use of outside sources must be cited, or else it will be considered plagiarism and result in a failing grade. The response paper must be at least three double-spaced pages (please use Times New Roman 12-point font). Spelling or grammar errors will result in a lower grade, so you are encouraged to edit your work before submitting.
