Each student is required to write two research papers, each of about ten pages (an abstract, and a conclusion, will count, BUT cover sheet, and the list of references are EXTRA), double space, regular margins, and in font size 12 Times New Roman. The second research paper, due by November 30, will analyze a relevant topic in the history of terrorism since 1920.
You are encouraged to focus your topic, then research widely, using library databases such as Google Scholar; Google Books; JSTOR, Lexis-Nexis, Springer, and EBSCO. Prominent scholarly periodicals such as the Journal of American History; Political Studies Quarterly; Peace & Change; Reviews in American History; and Human Rights Review.
Seven scholarly sources to be used in the research papers MUST be articles from various law reviews, or academic periodicals, or chapters from analytical books, written by different authors, each consisting of at least ten pages, in English, published since 2000.
