The Session Plan will be an individual assignment. This assignment will require students to create a written plan for a 1-3 hour session.
The session plan will require students to formulate a plan using Cole’s 7 steps and to develop group activities that meet the needs of their identified population (physical and mental capacities, need for grading and adapting, personalization of approach for individual members, etc.). The Session Plan will be due online during Week 8 before 9 a.m. and must be completed within the template posted on Blackboard, with all necessary formatting and
spacing as identified in the template. The content of the plan will be:

3 objectives for the session
How the session relates to the overall group
Supplies and equipment needed
Space demands and how they will be met
Warm up activity
Steps of activity (detailed and clear)
2 ways to grade the activity UP
2 ways to grade the activity DOWN (must be different from grade up strategies)

2 generalizing questions
1 application question
Sample summary for group closure
Time allotted for each step of the session plan
