A data analysis proposal (approximately 4-5 pages in length – not including title page or references) is required. It should be based on an interest based in psychology and should contain a (1) a clear statement of the research hypotheses; (2) a description of the methodology including participants, measures, procedure, and research design; (3) a detailed data analysis section incorporating one or more advanced statistical techniques.
Students must cite relevant empirical literature throughout the proposal. Even if students are not planning to perform a quantitative analysis, it is expected that they reformulate their research hypotheses and design so that a statistical technique can be executed on hypothetically anticipated data. Grades will be determined by how well students address each of the following issues:
· Does the research hypothesis make sense, and is it presented clearly?
· Is the design clearly presented to the reader, and is it the most appropriate way to test the proposed research hypotheses?
· Have the proper statistical techniques been selected for the given research hypotheses and design? Why?
· Are the measures and statistics described in sufficient detail?
Please note: There is an example on this assignment attached, however, the example uses an independent t-test as an analysis. This would be insufficient for this assignment. For this paper, you cannot use any of the following analysis as they are not advanced enough for this assignment.
