In general, though these were the major challenges with your paper:
Proofreading. Many of students commonly have obvious proofreading errors— sentence fragments, unclear thoughts and statements. I strongly URGE you to read your papers aloud to a friend before submitting. Ask them, “Do you understand the work I am describing? What isn’t clear? What can you visualize? What is confusing?”
Please, please, do not insert excess quotes in your paper to fill space. A sentence or two if you can justify, is OK. But, when it’s obvious you’re doing the paper just to get it done and aren’t really invested, then it’s hard to get through reading the paper and long quotes make any disinterest more obvious and painful.
Focus on your description. Engage with the work and find yourself in it. Tell me what you know that you feel relates to the work.

2) Using this folder of art documentary and films that I’ve collected (link), select one, and using the text books’ Seven Steps to Thinking Critically (Sayre-World of Art-Student Toolkit_Thinking Critically.pdf (link)), evaluate what you find both easy to relate to and difficult to relate to about the artists’ work. Describe why you choose the particular documentary, and what connections and parallels you can find to your current everyday situation.
3) Choose a tattoo you or a friend has (respecting social distancing, ask for picture to be virtually delivered) and describe the tattoo as if the person reading will never see it (you may choose to upload a .jpg in your paper, or not). Why did you or your friend choose the image and where was it placed? What personal significance does it have? Does it represent an experience, if so, what? Why? Also, feel free to try to unravel often gendered or cultural (eg class) stereotypes (for example, “tramp stamp” or “chest plate” or “sleeve” etc). The point of this is to uncover the aesthetic choices in these choices and connect them to broader themes. One thing I have been thinking about is face and scalp tattoos, such as these by Rancid’s (I love this band full disclosure) Tim Armstrong (link)and Lars Frederickson (link). How does the average person respond to such prominent placement of body modification. How does this function in non-Western countries? Or what about Japanese Yakuza tattoos (link)?
