Question to answer:
In Mary Shelley’s novel, Frankenstein (1818), the narrative begins with Robert Walton’s contemplations about nature, loneliness, and the absence of friendship. In Volume I, Victor Frankenstein begins his long and convoluted tale. The Letters set up a found text and a frame narrative in which Robert Walton is ultimately the narrator, translator, and copyist for Victor’s tale.
In the first three chapters of Volume I, Victor sets up his home life and early years. Compare Victor’s early life in these three chapters to Robert Walton’s existence on the stranded ship. Chose one scene from any of those three chapters for your compare contrast. Use at least 2 figures of speech “Key Figures of Speech” (382-383) in this post.
Use the appropriate elements of fiction in your response. Refer to specific brief quotes (include in-text citation) to support your ideas. Remember to analyze the language used instead of using quotes for plot points. (Remember PIE! point-illustrte-explain for embedding quotes + form-effect-meaning for integrating elements of fiction).
